Working Memory

Working memory is holding new information in place while our brain connects it to other information. Things like remembering a phone number or following multi-step directions require working memory. A lot of children have trouble with working memory, and it can be a reason why it appears they aren’t listening. Luckily, there are some fun ways to build and practice working memory. Many classic games like Memory and Simon Says help children develop and strengthen working memory.
