Coping Strategies

Regulating emotions and behavior in a group setting can be extremely difficult. This is especially true for children with a history of trauma. Activities that teach children how to identify their own body signals and let off steam can help children learn how to regulate their emotions and behavior. Two activities that you can try are breathing exercises and recognizing body signals.
